The Gujarat Tenancy and Agricultural Lands Act, 1948
The law that says who may buy farmland. It makes a sale to a person who is not an agriculturist invalid unless the Collector has permitted it, it carves out a separate route for a genuine industrial buyer, and it governs the premium that converts restricted land into land that can be sold freely.
